• 425 organized cleanups
• 15,377 total volunteer hours

• 6,895 total number of participants in the Don’t Mess With Texas Trash Off, Make A Difference Day Annual Cleanup & Pick Up Some Trash for Cash

• 91 Adopt-A-Spot groups donated 4,230 hours & remove over 18 tons litter

• 40,000 total number of brochures/pamphlets distributed regarding mission items
• 193 total number of workshops/talks/presentations

• 1,600 vehicle litter bags distributed at presentations and events
• Litter index delivers rating of 1.6 out of 4 (1 being best; best ever rating)
• 10,943 “hits” to KMB's website

BEAUTIFICATION:

• 43 trees planted at 6 MISD schools, City Hall, Casa de Amigos
• Cost/Benefit analysis reveals a $1:8 return
• Trio of Gardens shares gardening tips with over 800 citizens

WASTE REDUCTION:

• 3,388 TONS of cardboard, aluminum, plastic, newsprint, and mixed paper
• 652 cars bring recyclables to Texas Recycles Day
• Over 47 tons of computer EWaste kept from landfill
• 104 attended meeting to teach backyard composting by TAES/KMB

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION:

• 11 schools collect over 16 tons of phone books and aluminum for recycling
• 300 Water Awareness Kits distributed to promote conservation
• KTB & KAB Annual Conferences attended by Board Members & Staff
